• Any person holding registered TAX ID may perform import activities. No importer’s certificate is required.
• Persons planning to do import may directly apply to the Customs’ houses with the documents issued in accordance with the related legislations.
• Tax ID is not required for ;
• The imports based on the special agreements,
• tap and other publication imports,
• Imports of the goods for which the retail sales are permitted to be performed in the fairs and exhibitions in Turkey by the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade.
• The goods that are not subject to legislative measurements to protect the public morals and public order, public safety; to protect the health of human being, animals and phytosanitary or industrial and commercial rights can freely be imported.
• Following the delivery of the goods to be imported to the customs, if any, customs duty and the collective housing fund payment are required to be paid based on the ratios stated in the appendixes to the import regime decree.
• All transactions, related to the payment of the goods to be imported, performed by the banks or the financial institutions are subject to the foreign-exchange legislation.
